The rates are set per deployment. Each part is capped at 1% by the
contracts.
Who pays
The fee comes out of the Bridger’s payout, on the ad chain. The Bridger deposits the full amount and receives the amount less 0.5%. The Maker receives the Bridger’s full deposit on the order chain, and keeps the LP fee in the ad. The app shows the split before you bridge: what you pay, the fee and what you receive. Example: you bridge 100 PB. You deposit 100 PB on the order chain and receive 99.5 PB on the ad chain. 0.3 PB stays in the Maker’s ad, and 0.2 PB goes to the fee pool. Both parts round down, so any rounding dust stays with the Bridger. The fee is part of the order
The two rates are fields of the order both parties sign. A trade is always charged exactly the fee it was opened with. If the live rates change between the Bridger’s deposit and the Maker’s lock, the lock is refused, and the order is refunded in full once its deadline passes. When no fee is charged
- Cancels and refunds: no fee. The Bridger’s deposit comes back in full, and the Maker’s lock returns to the ad.
- A dispute ruled “mutual refund” or “bridger forfeit”: no fee.
- A dispute ruled “maker forfeit”: the Bridger is paid out less the protocol fee only; there is no LP fee, since the Maker forfeited.
