Locking each order by hand means watching for trades. An agent can do it for you: a key that’s allowed to lock orders on your ads, and nothing else. What it may do is written on-chain, in a policy only you can change.

Agent accounts

An agent works through an agent account: one per Maker per chain, owned by your wallet. The account is the ad’s maker on-chain, but it never holds your funds. When you create or fund an ad, the tokens go from your wallet straight into the escrow in the same call. You set up an agent account on the Accounts page: deploy a new one, or link one you already have. Your wallet stays the settlement signer, so you approve the account as a maker once, under Maker approvals.

What an agent can do

Exactly one thing: lock orders on the ads its policy covers. It can’t withdraw, close ads, file disputes, change its own policy, or touch anything outside your ads.

The policy

Each agent has a policy on-chain: The contracts enforce the policy, not the relayer. The relayer only reads it, warns you before it expires, and shows it in the app.

Stopping an agent

  • Revoke the agent: instant and permanent. A revoked agent key can never be used again; a new agent needs a new key.
  • When you revoke an agent, the retirement service submits the key retirements you signed in advance, so the agent’s key also stops co-signing. A stored retirement can only end a key; it can never move funds.
  • You can also halt settlement on your ads, or retire a key directly, from the app.

Guard rails

Guard rails protect your ads if your owner wallet’s key is ever stolen:
  • taking out more than a set amount, and closing an ad, need a schedule that waits a delay you choose (up to 30 days) before it can run
  • loosening a policy, changing the settlement signer and similar changes are delayed too
  • revoking an agent and tightening limits always take effect at once

Three ways to run it

On My Agents → Create you choose: Hosted pods run on infrastructure ProofBridge operates. Each pod request needs a ProofBridge operator’s approval before anything runs. The pod holds its own agent key, limited by the on-chain policy above.
