Work through this once. Each step links the full guide if you get stuck.

1. Wallets

Ethereum Sepolia

MetaMask, Rainbow or another browser wallet on desktop. Works on a phone too, through WalletConnect or your wallet’s own browser.

Stellar Testnet

Freighter, Lobstr, xBull or Hana — desktop only. See the note below.
Stellar wallets do not work on a phone yet. None of them can produce the message signature a settlement key needs: Lobstr pairs over WalletConnect but its session does not permit message signing, and xBull’s phone option opens a separate web wallet rather than the xBull app.You can still test on a phone — just use your Ethereum wallet there. Sign in on Sepolia, register your settlement key, and type your Stellar address when you bridge, so no Stellar wallet is needed to be paid. Anything that signs on the Stellar side — posting an ad, or trading from a Stellar wallet — needs a desktop browser.
Switch each wallet to its testnet: Sepolia in your EVM wallet, Testnet in your Stellar wallet. Open staging.pfbridge.xyz, click Connect Wallet, and sign in on each network. Connecting the second wallet links it to the same account. Connect a wallet.

2. Test funds

Get test tokens.

3. Your settlement key

Every wallet you trade from needs a settlement key, registered once. On the BLS Keys page, click Register, sign the derivation message, then sign the registration. The relayer pays the gas. Register a settlement key.
The BLS Signing Key dialog with Ethereum Sepolia and Stellar Testnet to choose between, and a Generate Key button

Pick the wallet to generate the key from, then sign twice

One wallet at a time. After the first, the counters read 01 ready, 01 needs registration — that second one is your other wallet, so repeat for it.
Registration Complete dialog, with one address Registered and the other still Not Registered behind it

First key done. The other wallet still says Not Registered

While you’re there, file an emergency stop for your key: it’s part of what we’re testing.

Ready check

  • Signed in on Sepolia and Stellar, both wallets linked
  • Sepolia ETH and testnet XLM in the wallets
  • Bridge tokens from the faucet
  • BLS Keys shows Registered for each wallet
The BLS Keys page with both addresses showing Registered and the ready counter at 02

Both wallets registered — 02 ready, 00 needing registration

Then go to What to test.
