# Timings and FAQ

> How long things take on soak, and answers to the questions testers ask most

## Timings on soak

| What | How long |
| - | - |
| An unfunded order holds the maker's liquidity | \~30 minutes, then it's released |
| An order's deadline | \~40 minutes after you create it |
| The cancel window after the deadline | 30 minutes |
| Combining signatures and building proofs | usually 30–60 seconds |
| A faucet claim | usually under a minute |
| A dispute's challenge period | 1 hour |
| A hosted pod request's review | usually within a day |

The deadline and windows are set short on soak, so you can test every ending in one sitting.

## FAQ

> **Do soak tokens have any value?**
>
> No. They're testnet tokens from the faucet. Never send real assets to a soak address.

> **My trade is stuck. What do I do?**
>
> Check the trade page. If it's waiting on the other party, you'll see **Maker's Turn** or **Waiting for
> Counterparty**. If the deadline passes, the trade is cancelled and your deposit refunded automatically. If
> something looks wrong, [report it](https://docs.pfbridge.xyz/v3/soak/report-findings.md) with the trade ID.

> **The co-sign button doesn't appear.**
>
> Both deposits need enough confirmations first; the page shows **Confirming Deposits…** until then. If it says
> **Register BLS Key**, the named wallet has no settlement key yet.

> **The faucet refused my claim.**
>
> It refuses if you already hold 10,000 or more of that token, or a claim for it is still running.

> **Which wallet should I use on my phone?**
>
> An **Ethereum** one — MetaMask or another WalletConnect wallet, or your wallet's own browser. That side works
> on a phone.
>
> **Stellar wallets do not.** None can produce the message signature a settlement key needs: Lobstr pairs over
> WalletConnect but its session does not permit message signing, and xBull's phone option opens a separate web
> wallet instead of the xBull app. Freighter, Lobstr and Hana's browser versions are desktop extensions.
>
> You can still bridge from a phone with only an Ethereum wallet — type your Stellar address as the destination
> and nothing needs signing on that side.

> **Do I need both wallets?**
>
> To bridge, you need only the wallet you send from. To try every mission, and to receive on the other chain at
> your own address, connect both.

> **Can I lose test funds?**
>
> Every trade either settles or is refunded at its deadline. If a payout can't be delivered, it waits for you as a
> claimable balance on the trade page. If anything doesn't add up, report it.
