# The soak

> What the soak is, what you'll be testing, and where to start

The **soak** is ProofBridge running end to end on public testnets, before mainnet. Every part is live: the contracts
on Ethereum Sepolia and Stellar Testnet, the relayer, the app, agents and hosted pods. Real people trading with test
tokens is how we find what breaks, what confuses, and what's slow, while nothing of value is at stake.

You're here to use the app the way a real bridger or maker would, try the paths that go wrong on purpose, and tell us
what you find.

## Your path

**1. Get set up**

Wallets on both chains, test funds, and your settlement key. About 15 minutes.

**2. Run the missions**

Bridge both ways, provide liquidity, let a trade expire, file a dispute, try an agent. Each mission says what

**3. Report what you find**

Bugs, confusing moments, slow steps, and things that worked well. [Report findings](https://docs.pfbridge.xyz/v3/soak/report-findings.md).

## Good to know first

* **Trades are timed.** Every order has a deadline, about 40 minutes on soak. If a trade doesn't settle by then,
  it's cancelled and refunded. See [Timings and FAQ](https://docs.pfbridge.xyz/v3/soak/timings-and-faq.md).
* **You'll want two wallets** for the full picture: one on Sepolia and one on Stellar. Bridging needs only the
  wallet you send from.
* **Test on a phone too** — with an **Ethereum** wallet. Layouts and mobile wallet connections are part of what
  we're checking. Stellar wallets don't work on a phone yet; [Get set up](https://docs.pfbridge.xyz/v3/soak/get-set-up.md) explains what still
  does.

## Join the community

Testers and the team meet on Discord. Ask questions, compare notes with other testers, and find a partner for the
two-party missions there.
