# Provide liquidity

> The Maker flow: create an ad, lock orders and co-sign, by hand or with an agent

Makers earn the LP fee by posting **ads**: escrowed liquidity a Bridger
can trade against.

## Before you start

* A wallet connected for the chain your liquidity lives on
* That wallet's [settlement key](https://docs.pfbridge.xyz/v3/guides/register-a-settlement-key.md)
  registered: every trade on your ad needs your co-signature
* Funds for the ad

## 1. Create an ad

On **My Ads**, click **Create an Ad** and fill in:

| **Make the ad from** | your wallet, or your [agent account](https://docs.pfbridge.xyz/v3/guides/linked-accounts.md). Only an agent-account ad can be traded by an agent. |
| **Base Chain** / **Destination Chain** / **Token** | the route |
| **Liquidity** | how much to escrow now |
| **Minimum Order** / **Maximum Order** | per-trade limits |
| **Title** | optional |
| **Trading Terms and Description** | shown to Bridgers |
| Receive address | where you're paid on the other chain; your connected wallet unless you enter another |

> Don't use an exchange deposit address to receive: those usually need a
> memo, and this payment can't carry one.

Then **Hold to Create Ad**: approve the token if asked, sign the
transaction, and the app finalizes it.

## 2. Serve trades

When a Bridger funds an order on your ad, the **Orders** page shows
**Lock Tokens**. Two actions are yours:

1. **Lock Tokens:** lock the reserved amount on-chain. This is your
   deposit into the trade.
2. **Co-sign Settlement:** once both deposits confirm, sign with your
   settlement key. No transaction, no gas.

You get a notification for each new order on your ad.

## Let an agent do it

An [agent](https://docs.pfbridge.xyz/v3/concepts/agents.md) can lock orders for you, within an
on-chain policy you set. See [Set up an agent](https://docs.pfbridge.xyz/v3/guides/set-up-an-agent.md).

## 3. Get paid

Settlement pays you the Bridger's full deposit on the order chain, and
the LP fee stays in your ad. The ad keeps serving new trades: top it up or
wind it down any time ([Manage ads](https://docs.pfbridge.xyz/v3/guides/manage-ads.md)).
