# Bridge tokens

> The Bridger flow, end to end

## Before you start

* A wallet connected for the chain you're bridging **from**
  ([Connect a wallet](https://docs.pfbridge.xyz/v3/guides/connect-wallet.md))
* That wallet's [settlement key](https://docs.pfbridge.xyz/v3/guides/register-a-settlement-key.md)
  registered
* Test funds ([faucet](https://docs.pfbridge.xyz/v3/guides/faucet.md))

## 1. Pick a route and an ad

On the **Bridge** page, choose the chain you're sending from, the
destination chain and the token. The page lists the open ads for that
route. Filter by **Autobot** (makers with an agent) or **Manual**.

Open an ad to see the maker's record of completed trades.

## 2. Enter the amount

Enter the **Amount to Bridge**, within the ad's limits. The app shows
**You Pay**, the [fee](https://docs.pfbridge.xyz/v3/concepts/fees.md) and **You'll Get**. Check the
address you'll be paid at on the destination chain; it defaults to your
connected wallet there.

## 3. Hold to Bridge

Press and hold **Hold to Bridge**. The deposit runs through these steps:

1. **Preparing:** fetching the order from the relayer
2. **Checking Trustline:** a one-time trustline setup, for Stellar
   classic assets only
3. **Approve in Wallet:** a one-time token approval, for ERC-20 tokens only
4. **Submit On-Chain:** your deposit into the OrderPortal escrow
5. **Finalizing:** telling the relayer the deposit landed

Your tokens stay in escrow until the trade settles or is refunded.

Closed the popup by mistake? The order waits on the
[Orders page](https://docs.pfbridge.xyz/v3/guides/track-orders.md): **Complete Order** serves the same
transaction without reserving more liquidity. Unfunded orders are released
after \~30 minutes.

## 4. The maker locks

Once your deposit confirms, the maker locks the matching funds on the
other chain (makers with an agent lock automatically). The trade page
shows **Maker's Turn** until they do.

## 5. Sign with BLS Key

When both deposits are confirmed, the trade page shows **Your Turn**.
Click **Co-sign Settlement**: your settlement key signs the trade in the
app, with no transaction and no gas.

## 6. Done, the rest is automatic

The signatures are combined, the proofs built and the payouts submitted.
Your tokens arrive at your receive address. The trade page's
**Timeline** links every transaction, and **Transaction Details** shows
what you sent, the fee and what you got.

## If it doesn't settle

Every order has a **Deadline**, shown on the trade page with the **Time
Left**. If the trade doesn't settle by then, your deposit is refunded. See
